A Stunning WORK OF Art
About Graham Hearn & Aerial Farmscapes
I grew up with my two brothers and parents on a 2200 acre farm in southern New South Wales and each day was a myriad of sights, sounds and smells. The big skies and the smell of the summer grasses still stay with me today.
It was the best upbringing anyone could ask for. Harvesting wheat and rice, working with cattle and sheep and having all the space a kid could ever want to run wild…
I started painting seriously about 5 years ago and paint with Acrylic paints on canvas. Usually the larger the better as I believe that Art needs to make a statement , being it emotionally or physically in the home.
After a few years I decided to concentrate on what I call my Aerial Farmscapes. These are large impressionistic paintings as an aerial view of a certain part of a farm or property. These have been inspired by the aerial photographs of farming properties which once were the centrepiece in a lot of farmhouses.
"It’s a great way of getting their farm on canvas and they can actually put it in their lounge room – it doesn’t have to be behind a wall in the study” – The Land Newspaper
